Year In Review

In 2008 Tangorra Wedding Planning was fortunate to have planned and assisted with a total of 51 weddings! Thank you to all of our couples and vendors for making it our best year yet!

Here are just a few of our favorites:

Jen & Lou
April 12, 2008

Jen and Lou were one of the sweetest couples we knew. They were married on a beautiful day in April. Their ceremony was at Saint Michael's Church in Andover and their reception was at the Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel.
Their colors were pinks, greens and chocolate brown.

Alia and Daniel were a very special couple. She has an amazing story which began in Iraq where she was born. The wedding was a perfect compliment of Iraqi and American traditions with a "fire and ice" theme.

Kerri & Andy
June 21, 2008

Kerri, her mom and I had so much fun planning this wedding. Kerri was a graphic designer so most of the design ideas came from her. The wedding was absolutely stunning. This wedding can also be found in the current issue of Southern New England Weddings.

Elizabeth & Martin
August 10, 2008

Liz and Martin were such a sweet couple. Liz wanted an old-fashion, Victorian theme to her wedding, which played out beautifully with the accents that she chose.
The end of the night was completed with an old-fashioned cotton candy machine, a candy station and an assortment cookies which we displayed in the transformed porch of Moraine Farm.

Jessica & Michael
August 16, 2008

Jess and Mike were so much fun. Mike was from Russia and had never attended a wedding; Jess had been dreaming about it since she was a little girl. They chose a beautiful outside setting and used draping and lighting for a cozy, intimate atmosphere.

Nicole & Ben
August 16, 2008

Nicole and Ben were looking for the perfect New England Wedding and chose the lovely Spruce Point Inn in Boothbay Maine. This successful couple made a weekend out of it, utilizing the whole resort for their many out-of-town guests. Outside the church, we surprised the guests with a whoopee pie and lemonade station, a welcome respite in the heat. Later, we revealed an elaborate candy station to accompany the gorgeous wedding cake and the couple capped off the evening with a sparkler farewell.

Alisa & Jeff
August 30, 2008

Alisa and Jeff were married on the water at sunset and danced the night away at this chic all white wedding at Belle Mer in Newport, RI. Alisa's amazing eye for detail ensured that everything, from the japanese fighting fish in the entryway to the frozen fruit encased cocktails, was perfectly orchestrated to make this a very glamorous event.

Sarah & David
August 31, 2008

Sarah and David were our chic New York couple who chose the rooftop of the Taj for their celebration. We kept with the black and white theme, but added some splashes of orange.

Alla & Yury
September 13, 2008

Alla and Yury had an elaborate affair lasting well into the morning (3am to be precise!). A perfect blend of their Russian traditions mixed with modern touches, Alla spared no expense on the event - transforming the very modern, Temple Sinai into a sleek, sparkly and over-the-top night!

Photos coming!

Lani and Mike
September 27, 2008
This was our big fat Greek wedding at the Seaport Hotel! The groom was Greek, so we had many of the customary Greek traditions, including a Greek Orthodox ceremony, a Greek band and plenty of Greek dancing!
Lani and I had fun choosing items to match the pink, cherry blossom theme.

Nicole and Dave
October 18, 2008

I don't even know what to say about these two. They were adorable, so in love and the most easy-going bride and groom I've ever met. We spent most of our meetings in complete hysterics. The wedding day was amazing and magical. With 320 of their closest family and friends in the Great Room of the State Room.....

Caitlin & Bill
October 18, 2008
The Wentworth in Rye is one of the most beautiful seacoast locations to have a wedding and Caitlin did not miss a beat trying to tie in vintage-classic with fresh-modern. Copper, an ongoing theme, was incorporated in the gorgeous napkins, centerpieces, programs and favors.
Cait, her mom and nana were so fun to work with at every stage of the planning resulting in a spectacular and special day!

Diana & Anthony
November 15, 2008

With a setting like Union Station, Diana and Anthony decided on a modern french theme. This creative couple opted for a crepe tasting instead of a cake tasting. To keep everyone on their toes, they had a choreographed dance at the END of the evening instead of the beginning- which was perfect since everyone was over their dance floor shyness! So fun!

Christine & Jeff
November 22, 2008

Christine and I shared our love for Christmas, which took up most of our conversations. In between we were able to plan this amazing wedding at Linden Place. Christine was a DIY bride - all of her stationery and details were created by her and Jeff and we worked hard to execute her beautiful DIY design.
